Our Fee Philosophy

At FutureFlow Financial Advice, we believe transparency is the foundation of every great client relationship. That’s why we publish our fees openly on this page — something most financial advisors on the Sunshine Coast simply don’t do.

We charge professional fees for professional advice. We don’t take commissions on your investments. We don’t push products to earn kickbacks from platforms or providers. If we ever receive any benefit from a recommendation, you’ll know about it before we proceed, in writing.

Our promise is simple: every fee is agreed upfront, explained in plain language, and aligned with the value we deliver.

How Much Does Financial Advice Cost?

Statement of Advice (SOA) Fees

Our upfront fees for a Statement of Advice range from $880+GST for simple or limited advice, up to $10,000+GST for comprehensive, complex strategies.

What you might pay:

  • Simple superannuation review or basic insurance advice: from $880+GST
  • Limited scope advice (one specific issue): from $880+GST to $2,500+GST
  • Comprehensive advice — tax structuring, investment strategy, super optimisation: $3,000+GST to $7,000+GST
  • Complex strategies for medical professionals, business owners, or high-income earners: $5,000+GST to $10,000+GST

Why a Range?

Because every client is different. A specialist with a $400,000 income, a family trust, an investment portfolio, and an SMSF has different needs than someone wanting a simple super review. Your fee reflects the work, the complexity, and the value, not your wealth.

We’ll discuss your specific situation in our complimentary 30-minute discovery meeting, and provide a fixed-fee quote before we start any work.

Ongoing Service Fees

For clients who choose to continue working with us beyond the initial advice, ongoing service fees are tailored to suit your situation. Options include:

  • Flat annual fee
  • Asset-based fee (a percentage of assets under advice)
  • A combination of both, depending on what works best for you

Ongoing fees are discussed during your initial consultation and formally agreed when we present your Statement of Advice. You’ll always know exactly what you’re paying, why, and what you’re receiving in return.

What’s Always Included

  • A clear, written fee agreement before any work begins
  • A formal Statement of Advice (SOA) for all formal recommendations
  • Plain English explanations — no jargon, no confusion
  • Complete transparency on how we’re paid
  • No hidden platform fees or trail commissions
  • Our undivided focus on your best interests

What We Don’t Do

  • We don’t take commissions on your investments
  • We don’t receive payments from fund managers or investment platforms to recommend their products
  • We don’t have sales targets, product quotas, or pressure to upsell
  • We don’t charge for advice you didn’t ask for

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are your fees higher than other advisors?

Honestly, our fees aren’t higher than other quality advisors. They reflect the depth of qualifications, time, and strategy we put into every client’s financial future. Juan holds an MBA in Financial Management (with Distinction), Master of Professional Accounting, Bachelor of Business, and Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning — a rare combination that translates directly into better outcomes for clients. If you’re looking for cheap advice, we may not be the right fit. If you’re looking for genuinely strategic advice that pays for itself many times over, we are.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes. Your initial 30-minute discovery meeting is completely free. There’s no obligation, no pressure, and no sales pitch. It’s a chance for us to understand your situation, explain how we work, and see if we’re a good fit for each other. If we’re not the right advisor for you, we’ll tell you that too.

How do I know if your fees are worth it?

The right financial advice should pay for itself many times over, through tax savings, smarter investment strategy, better super outcomes, or risk protection. For most of our clients, the value we deliver in the first 12 months alone significantly exceeds the cost of our advice. We’re happy to walk through real-world examples during your discovery meeting.

Can I pay the fee over time?

Yes, in most cases. We’re happy to discuss payment options that suit your situation. Speak with us during your discovery meeting and we’ll work out the best approach.

What happens at the discovery meeting?

We’ll discuss your current financial situation, goals, concerns, and what you’re hoping to achieve. We’ll explain how we work, what our advice process looks like, and answer any questions. By the end of the meeting, you’ll know exactly what advice would cost for your specific situation, and you can decide whether to move forward.
